Blake’s In Home Lifestyle Newborn Session

I have so much to say about this session but I will try and keep it short and sweet and

get to the super cute photos! Matt & Michelle are my wedding clients and I photographed

their gorgeous destination wedding at the Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana in 2014 and also

shot their engagement photos, rock the dress, Michelle’s boudoir and their maternity photos.

But when Blake entered this world I was too far away to shoot their newborn photos as

they live in Fort McMurray. They found a local photographer to do posed studio images

of them and Blake and they are beautiful. And although Matt & Michelle loved the images,

Michelle just couldn’t get it out of her mind that she wanted photos of the three of them

in their home and she asked me if I would come there for their session. I of course said yes

and they instantly booked my flight for a day trip up there for their session and I also

did one for her sister while I was there. It is not every day that one of your favorite couples

asks you to fly to them for a session so I was deeply honored and incredibly excited to

get to meet Blake and see their gorgeous home. Blake was a bit older then when we

usually shoot lifestyle newborn sessions but I of course made the exception for these

three cause I just adore them so much!  Matt & Michelle have a stunning home with a

monochromatic color scheme and it was perfect for a lifestyle session. Their session

was right before Christmas so we shot some in from of the tree and then used their master bedroom

Blake’s cute nursery as well.  My favorite things about these photos are Blake’s awesome

hair and that there is so many with her tongue out. If you know this family you know that

when Blake was a baby she always was sticking her tongue out so I loved that

I was able to capture that. Alright enough from me, Blake’s lifestyle newborn session
