Calgary Maternity Photographers | Jeff & Jenn’s Mountain Maternity Session

So happy to be sharing one of my favorite couples/families today! I just adore these

two and their growing family.  But before we get to their session I have to say, no I do

not shoot families. Every time I post family work I get emails to shoot more.

But even so I will post this cause,  I love this family too much not to share.

I captured a couple family sessions this past year for my very closest

friends and these two fall in that category.  We have been through all their life milestones

together and have done countless sessions together.   I sometimes get the stink eye from people

when I say I don’t shoot families, they think it is cause I don’t like kids which is just the

craziest thing ever ha ha.  I have 7 nieces and nephews and most of my friends have kids so yes I like kids ha ha.

I just simply have decided to specialize in areas where I feel I

excel and where my passions lie which is couples and boudoir. Families are more candid and less posed

and if you know my work you know that is not my forte. Instead I refer 98% of my

family inquiries out to my close friends who specialize in families and they refer their

boudoir inquiries to me. It is actually a really nice arrangement built on community and

mutual respect for each others work.

Anyway getting back to this cute family!! We took an adventure out to the mountains for

their session and had the most beautiful warm summer evening. We started off with a few

including their daughter Emma and dog Marley and then Jenn’s sister took them home

for a sleepover and we finished off just the two of them and Jenn’s perfect bump.

You know how some women just carry pregnancy beautifully…well Jenn is one of them!

She is always gorgeous but pregnancy and her perfect bump just suit her so well.
