Baby Dylan’s Lifestyle Newborn Session

It feels like forever since I have shared a newborn session blog. I must get on top

of my blogging. It has been almost exactly a year since I shot my first lifestyle

newborn session in my studio. When my husband and I built our new house around

my studio space I knew that I wanted to try to shoot these sessions. Let me back up a

second….we literally planned our whole home around me having a studio space. Our

home builders were absolutely amazing and I am so so lucky to have this gorgeous space.

So we moved into our new home and I said kay, I am going to offer lifestyle newborn

sessions but I am going to offer them in my studio (they are often done in peoples homes).

And my first session had me instantly in love. I don’t shoot alot of them, maybe 10 or so this

last year. But every one of them is so special to me. I love that I get to capture parents with

their new baby. They just get to stare at them for an hour straight and I just shoot away.

Just like the best time ever. I have known Michelle(Mom) for years as we used to work together,

so she asked me way back when she was freshly pregnant to shoot their session.

I had to wait impatiently for like 7 months to meet Dylan ha ha. But she was worth the

wait and was such a dream to shoot. She slept her entire session, I think she only opened

her eyes once and then went straight back to sleep. Lennon (big sister) was so cute too during

the shoot. She held her little sister with mom and dad close by for safety and she even

posed herself in the photos of them laying on the bed together. What a little doll.
