James Bond theme grooms attire, Sparkly Kate Spade Keds and one of the most

beautiful wedding dresses that I have ever photographed are what this blog post

is all about! Ryan & Stephanie planned their beautiful wedding to take place

at Red Deer Lake Community Hall. And I will be honest when they first mentioned their

venue I assumed it was out of town as I had never heard of it. But nope it is just south

of the city close to Spruce Meadows. And right near the hall their is this cute little

vintage school house where we did a few photos as well. What I love about this venue is it

is nice and spacious and I adore the stage for the wedding party to sit on so the guests

get a good view for them and also the close proximity to the little school house and

the park are added bonuses for images. I started my day with the girls and this wedding

is my only wedding of the year with a second shooter and she started her day with the boys.

We had some beautiful weather for the day and I was even able to sneak them out during the

reception for a few photos just as the sun had peaked below some clouds.

Before I share some images from their day here are a few words from the Bride & Groom

How did you guys meet ?

We met through some mutual friends- on Christmas Day actually! The Best Christmas Gift a girl could ask for I’d say!!
Please share the proposal story with us?

Ryan took me to Newfoundland where his mom’s family is from to meet his extended family there. He took me on a

day of sight seeing to many of beautiful places out there (It was my first time to the East Coast) We started

the day at Cabot Tower followed by the beautiful drive to Cape Spear where the most eastern point in North America is.

We then proceeded to Fort Amherst where he popped the question over- looking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

It was the most perfect and simple moment I could have ever asked for. By the end of that trip I ordered my second…I guess

now third favourite piece of jewelry, a bracelet with the coordinates of Fort Amherst to always remember the spot!

Most memorable moment from your wedding day?

Bride: First Dance as husband and wife- the time that seemed like it was just us, was so special.

Then we started to relax and enjoy the rest of the evening with our family and friends.
Groom: All of it! In the end I have my wife and that is all I could ask for!
Tell me about the special aspects of your day that made it unique to you two?

– Ryan and I new we were meant to be when we found out we both had a love for James Bond!

our entire wedding had small pieces of James Bond spread throughout! Ryan’s Tux, the table

numbers… right down to the Photo Booth print layout! it was a great touch that was totally us!

– Did you see my shoes! they were totally me and so fun with my dress!

Advice to couples planning their wedding day?

– Be decisive in choosing! Once your have made a choice STOP LOOKING! The options of

what you could have done will honestly drive you crazy!

– make it about you! It is your wedding, that you have to remember so choose what you want!

I consider myself a wedding story teller so I always am looking for little things that help tell the story of the day.

Like Stephanie was eating toast and drinking coke on her wedding morning.

How adorable is this shirt! Just love it

All emotional doing a first look with her dad. She had to look away to hold back the tears.

Isn’t she just the cutest sticking her tongue out trying to get his ring on ha ha

Love this stylish wedding party! They were a blast to work with…almost too much fun at some points. I had to rein in the boys and their crazy antics ha ha

Just oozing with cuteness. I had the bridemaids all position their bouquets together and the flower girl ran in and lifted hers up with the others

and their reactions are priceless.

When i have the right location I absolutely love shooting with this full sun bright light . So pretty

How about this old school house! The bridesmaids redid the chalkboards for them too.

I snuck them away during the reception for some photos in the park and the light was so soft as the sun was setting behind some light clouds.

This dress was made for twirling!
