I feel like every time I post family photos I have to announce that I do not actually shoot

families except for the a few close friends. And this family is definitely in that category.

Amy is one of my very first Calgary Friends as we met over 10 years ago working together

at Lululemon. We instantly bonded and spent years working along side each other there. 

Amy and Mitch were actually one of my very first photoshoots as well cause they modeled for

me when I was first getting started and then Amy also was one of the very first boudoir

sessions that I ever shot. Whenever beginner photographers ask me for advice, I say

shoot shoot shoot and then shoot some more. People love photos so ask your friends and

family do to sessions with you and learn from each one. This is how I grew and built my

company and my style.  And I am honored that after those free sessions my friends have come

back to me and they have supported my company and become clients. When Amy and Mitch

had Katie I hadn’t started shooting lifestyle newborn sessions yet so I didn’t get to capture

her newborn photos but when Lucas came along they asked me if they could come to the

studio for his session and I was like heck yes you can!  They are actually one of my very last

family sessions that I took. I now have an amazing list of incredibly talented family photographers

to refer. That is the beautiful thing about this industry is you make friends who shoot different

genres and you can refer to each other. 

Here are a some of my favorite images from this lifestyle session. I just can not get over how

stinkin cute Katie is with Lucas.She just wanted to kiss him so much. It was adorable.

We were shooting on the couch and Miss Katie had to get my attention. emmmm excuse me Monica! ha haSo many kisses and cuddles for her little brother.
