Calgary Wedding Photographer | Mike & Stephanie’s Fish Creek Park Engagement Session

Packing my bags to get ready to shoot their wedding this weekend so I figured it was time

to blog their gorgeous golden light engagement session!! I first met these two way back in

December 2013 when we were in Mexico together for Stephanie’s sisters wedding.  Stephanie

actually booked her and Mike a mini photoshoot on the beach with me so their engagement

session was my second time shooting them…wait I lied. Not my second time, my third time

cause Stephanie and her sister Jenn did sister session for their parents and they brought

along their partners and dogs. And while we are keeping score I have photographed

Stephanie a few times without Mike cause she crashed both of her sisters maternity

sessions ha ha.  But I am not complaining though cause I adore getting to shoot my

clients over and over again.

And now a few words from these two…

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding day? 

• This will sound super cliche but I just can’t wait to marry my best friend. Mike and I have been
• together for 8 years now and we are super excited for this new chapter of our lives.

What’s one part or decision about wedding planning that Is easier then you

thought and one part that Is harder then you thought?

• Picking my wedding dress was actually easier then I thought it would be! I had a dress that I tried

to Pin on my Pinterest board like 5 times! And it didn’t matter what dress I tried on I kept going

back to that dress. I finally got to try it on and knew instantly that it was my dress!!

• The hardest thing about wedding planning was definitely the guest list. We wanted a smallish wedding

and the number we came up with was actually was pretty close to our venues capacity. But once

we started making a list of everyone we love and the people we wanted to share our day with,

we realized that some tough decisions had to be made.

What’s your favorite beverage or food to bring home and surprise your each other with?

Her: I wouldn’t say I bring it home but I usually will surprise her with a coffee from

Tim Hortons or a Booster Juice at work.

Him: Mike really likes to go to our neighborhood pub for dinner. So it’s not really a surprise

but he likes it when I call him to meet me at the pub after I get off work.

What is your guys idea of a perfect day together? 

• Mike works out of town a lot so when he is home we try to always have a date day!

This usually consists of hanging out with our dogs and then dinner and a movie!
