Bryan & Clarissa’s The Lodge at Panther River Wedding

I am so darn excited to share this intimate and adventurous wedding!! These are two words that

I want my work and my couples to be all about. And what bigger adventure is there then going

in a helicopter wedding to the top of a mountain on your wedding day?!?

Bryan & Clarissa were no strangers to my work when they booked me, they are part of a

group of friends that I have been photographing over the last four year. I am so incredibly

lucky when my past clients refer me to their friends and it is a little vote of confidence that

I need to let me know that I am doing a good job. I actually had on two previous occassions

photographed these two ripping it up on the dance floor at their friends weddings and I

even remember taking a photo of them last year at a wedding and joked to them to

email me when they get engaged! ha ha. When Bryan and Clarissa booked me and told me

they were having their wedding at The Lodge at Panther River I was immediately curious

about this venue that I had never heard of before. And just second after doing some research on it

I feel in love and just knew that their day would be absolutely amazing! These two love the outdoors

and adventure and camping so having a wedding at a gorgeous secluded camping/event venue was

the perfect fit for them. Just a few months after they booked me, they emailed me and asked if I would be okay going

in the helicopter for photos. There is not enough exclamation marks to show how excited I was

for this. I think my reply to them was HECK YES!!!!!!!!!!! I love adventure and I love that my couples

do too! An amazing thing about this location is that when I arrived early the event manager actually

gave me a private tour of the locations for photos. Which was great as I was not familiar with the area.

The property had a gorgeous log cabin where Clarissa and her girls got ready

and Bryan and the boys had an awesome(although very hot) white tent to get ready in. They had

their ceremony on the river bed and it was absolutely stunning! After the ceremony we cruised down the

road to this beautiful river bed for the wedding party photos and then Bryan, Clarissa and I headed

to the mountain top in the helicopter. The smokey sky blocked the view a bit but it did make

for some gorgeous photos!

I should mention that the three of us(actually four of us cause my husband tagged along) also

calgary wedding photographers Loved this tent for the groom prep cause it has soft light and nice white walls so it was perfect to shoot in. I just love when my brides gift their grooms a boudoir shoot by me! He was smiling ear to ear! Not because I need to be the only one taking photos but because then the guests are more present

to the ceremony and also then I do not have to deal with cell phone and I pads blocking the isle as the bride walks down. calgary wedding photographers Obsessed with the casual groom and groomsmen style! Suspenders and chucks are a good match! Can we just admire that bowtie! So awesome! And these blue dresses! So gorgeous! and if you follow my work closely you might just recognize two of these bridesmaids as my brides too =) calgary wedding photographers Eeeep!! And up we went in the helicopter! So cool. They opened a 21 year old bottle of scotch for a toast at the top.
