Some words from Erin about pulling together her beautiful details:
*Guestbook – Frame was made by a friend, locks were from the DollarStore & and stationary from Michaels.
I was so sick of the typical guestbook ideas, which so many were overdone. I love the idea of people “Locking in their Love” for us, and having something be apart of our home after the wedding.
So many times the books people sign get stored away in a home and never seen again. This frame is currently
in our home on proud display for everyone to see!
*Chocolate Bars (favors)- Caramilk chocolate bars, re wrapped with custom made wrapper. The wrapper was designed
by myself. I wanted a favor people would actually use. Like so many weddings I have been to, the favors which are given,
no one uses, or leaves behind at the table. These chocolate bars were a hit, and people were snacking
on them all night long! We barely had any left behind!
*Wine Bottles – Labels designed by friend Our family friends offered to make red wine for us for the wedding.
As most other things on the tables, I wanted the bottles to be customized for our day. I had a close friend create
two labels for the two different kinds of wine with our name and wedding date on it, which matched the colors of our tables.
*Sundae Bar – Ice cream was purchased from Marble Slab, and all the toppings were from Bulk Barn.
The Tubs for the pales were from Canadian Tire Who doesn’t love ice cream!? The sundae bar was a HIT! I’ve been to
weddings where the dessert is a cupcake, or something later on in the evening which no one eats. I wanted
something interactive for our guests, especially the kids attending our wedding. I had 4 different flavors;
chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and red velvet. At any point, there was always a group of people up there filing their
containers with their favorite ice cream and toppings. Many told me they went for seconds, even thirds!
It was perfect for our guests to snack on all night.
*Ice Sculpture- Frozen Memories
To go along with our romantic, European theme, we had a ice sculpture of the Eiffel Tower
made and presented with all the tea’s and coffee’s.
*Wedding Cake- Was made by my bridesmaid/friend
We wanted something stunning, but simple at the same time. I loved the idea of an ombre
icing on the cake, so of the three layers, each tier was a softer pink of one another.
* The Theme: The whole theme of our wedding I wanted to be very soft, romantic, and represent the simplicity
true love has. I wanted all the details to be very delicate, and whimsical. Since we were so in love with the idea
of going to Europe for our honeymoon after the wedding, I wanted the aspects of places we were going such as
Paris to be incorporated into our day. Examples being our guest book (The locks of Love),and Eiffel Tower Ice Sculpture. All
the decor (signs, vases etc.) all had the touch of gold glitter to bring in a bit of sparkle to the romantic theme.
We wanted our wedding to feel romantic and welcoming, but also not cost a ton! We did quite a bit of it on a budget,
as a lot of it I did myself, or had items created from people on Etsy so lessen the costs!
