It is always a treat to shoot at Valley Ridge Golf Club and not just because they have amazing food

but because they have two gorgeous ceremony sites and their staff is amazing!

I have shot several weddings at Valley Ridge and this was my first one with the ceremony in the garden area and it was

so beautiful.  The morning of the wedding it was pouring rain and Fabio and Brooke said rain or shine we

are having our ceremony outdoors.  Well about 10 minutes before the ceremony was set to start the rain stopped to

the commissioner Jacqueline Hoare made the call to start the ceremony early. And it was a good call cause the rain 

stayed away or light until the very end and they signed their marriage license and had the most romantic

first kiss in the rain! The good thing about having alot of rain was that they patio garden area was

empty and we were able to use the gorgeous garden for their images. We of course stayed off the course

for safety reasons.

Fabio & Brooke’s Wedding story is below but first here are a few words from the newlyweds.

How did you guys meet ?

We met in High School

Please share the proposal story with us? 

It was the day before my birthday, we went out for dinner. When we

came home Fabio had surprised me with rose petals and lit candles all over the main floor of our house.

I was completely oblivious and thought it was for my birthday. So i opened my card, read it, walked

towards the box that had my “gift” in it. It was my engagement ring and as i turned around Fabio

was on one knee. 

Most memorable moment from your wedding day?

Bride: Both of us forgetting our names during the vows.
Groom: First seeing Chloe coming down the aisle with my best man, and then of

course when Brooke came down the aisle.

Besides making the choice to marry each other, what was the easiest decision you made for your wedding?

What made it so easy? 

Not having cake. We both aren’t the biggest fan of wedding cakes.

What was the most difficult, time consuming choice that you made for your wedding day?

And advice to couples on this? 

All the little things. It was easy getting the big things (photographer, DJ, Venue, Food) together. 

The best advice we have is to make a list and work on it a little bit every day/week/month. Just

anytime there is some time to spare. Even reading the list every once in a while helps you to get refocused.

Advice to couples planning their wedding day?

We really enjoyed having the ceremony and the reception at the same location. It makes it 

super easy on your guests, and if you open the bar and have some appetizers hopefully

they won’t be bored while you are out getting your pictures done.

As far as vendors, ask friends and family that recently got married about who they used

or ask vendors for recommendations. Its how we found our officiant for example.

How pretty is this spot for a ceremony? I just love itBrooke’s sisters walked her down the isle I am kinda obsessed with the color of Fabio’s suit.
