One tricky part about some summer engagement sessions is the smoke that sometimes
rolls in from BC wildfires. Often photographers love this smoke (as bad as that sounds) as it makes for really
beautiful light. But let me tell you it was really tricky light at the beginning of this session. The smoke was
really low in this mountain valley and above was VERY harsh sun so it was causing this weird light
that I have never shot in before. But we just went with it and the photos are still beautiful. After shooting
up the mountain in a valley for a bit we decided to go back lower to see what the light was like and
we had a softer smokey light at a lower altitude! It would be nice if I never had to shoot in smokey light
again as that would mean no fires.
These two are my wedding clients and they got married in the
fall of 2021! I will be sharing their wedding as well on the blog soon!
