Jordan & Sarah’s Winter Mountain Wedding

At Cornerstone Theatre Canmore

Anyone who knows me knows that I LOOOOOOOVE winter weddings and sessions and this wedding

was an absolute winter fairytale!  The happiest days with amazing people and it was cold but -10 ish

isn’t too bad for a winter wedding if you ask me!  When it is cold for winter weddings we kinda do photos

in sections to give the wedding party a break. It is fine for me and the video guys as we can bundle up but

the wedding party has invested in dresses and suits so they are not going to be in winter jackets ha ha.

So we do the whole wedding party and then they break and then just the boys and then just the girls and

then the bride and groom. With the limo nearby and the heat cranked they could take little five minute

breaks for fingers, toes and ears to warm up!  Even though it was cold, they did not moan one bit! These

two just radiate positivity and happy and cold winds had nothing on them!

A few words from the newlyweds

How did you guys meet ?

We were both in Newfoundland for work interviews and were introduced by a

mutual friend in a bar on George Street.

Please share the proposal story with us?
We got engaged while on a cold fall trail run through the Edmonton river valley.

Most memorable moment from your wedding day?
The cheer from the crowd during the ceremony when we were first married and

then walking in to the reception.

Tell me about the special aspects of your day that made it unique to you two?

Our good friend played the violin for our entrance music at the ceremony,

this was really special and created a very cool vibe for the ceremony.

 

Besides making the choice to marry each other, what was the easiest decision you made for your wedding?

What made it so easy?
Choosing the venue, we love Canmore/Cornerstone.

What was the most difficult, time consuming choice that you made for your

wedding day? And advice to couples on this?
Cornerstone made coordinating everything every easy, our vendors were great to work with and our

families were very easy going. We didn’t really have any major difficulties during the process.

Advice to couples planning their wedding day?
When you find something you are happy with (photographer, flowers etc) just book it,

don’t over think it. There is so much out there you can look at options forever, if you find something that

makes you happy, just lock it in and move on.

Tips for a winter wedding:

Get out and enjoy the outdoors, winter is beautiful!
