I think the title says it all! This session is drenched in yummy light!  I am a bit of a light

chasing photographer…I love good light but I also can shoot in any light and I won’t ruin a

session chasing light if it is not there. But this session is sun kissed and full of romance!

I was kinda freaking out a bit of the light, the location and these two. It was all just so

magical. But it is not the light and the location that are the most important for a session,

to me the most important thing will always be couples trust. When couples trust me and my

posing then magic happens.  Some people say photoshoots are hard or awkward but they are

only that way if you let them be that way! Just think of your session as a date night with a

third wheel!  I love love so I am going to be the best third wheel ha ha! I won’t look away or cringe

when things get mussy! I will cheer you on ha ha!

I met Joel & Jasmine in Canmore for their mountain engagement session and we adventured and

went off the beaten path a bit. I even walked through a stream to get the angle I wanted and there was

a bit of rock climbing and alot of laughs and love and kissing!

Some words from Joel & Jasmine

How & when did you two meet? What was your first date?
 
We both met for the first time in high school, but we didn’t start dating until a year after.
I think our first ‘official’ date was just the two of us to get coffee at Starbucks, but before
that we hung out a lot with friends.
Do you have all time favorite date you’ve been on? please tell me about it
All of our favourite dates are mountain days. Days we go to the mountains for a hike, and then
end it with a nice dinner and wine seem to be a favourite.
What is your favorite trip or experience you two have done together?
What made it so special?
 
Oh so many how do we choose! Our favourite trip was probably Mexico as it was right
before Joel moved to Minnesota. It was the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation.
We had a moment where we were just sitting under the stars by the ocean and we were
talking about how we were going to make it through the next 4 years while Joel was away at school.

Right now, Big Brother Canada. We also love true crime documentaries.
 
If you were coming home from a day out on your own and you wanted to 
surprise your significant other with a treat/drink/gift what would it be?
His answer: chocolate and wine
Her answer: Oreo dairy milk bar and a bottle of red wine
Who is the better cook?
His answer: me. She is a good cook, she just doesn’t like spending the time
doing it. She’s a great baker.
Her answer: He is better at trying new recipes and is patient when he cooks.
When I cook I tend to burn things because I want it cooked right away
Who is the better dancer?
His answer: Me. I find the beat
Her answer: Definitely me.
Who made the first move?
His answer: I did. I had to break out of the friend zone somehow.
Her answer: him
Who said I love you first?
His answer: I think I did
Her answer: I honestly can’t remember. I think him?
Who is more likely to get a speeding ticket?
His answer: Jasmine. She’s about 5 ahead of me on this one.
Her answer: Me.
Who is more of goof?
His answer: Me. I love the limelight
Her answer: Joel’s whole existence is one big goofball
Who is first to get up in the morning?
His answer: Me.
Her answer: During the week – him. On the weekends – me.
