Golden Hour Kananaskis Engagement Session

Red Bloom Photography

So smitten with this Golden Hour Kananaskis Engagement Session. The light

was just so dreamy and warm.  We actually origially planned to meet at another

lake location but I arrived early and the water levels were so high plus it was

so crazy busy with people that I made the call to do a last minute change of location.

These two were down for anything so they followed me to the next location.

They brought their two super cute pups for their session too! I always love when couples

include their pups in their engagement photos!

I want to share the sweetest little story from our consult. I met these two at Starbucks and

we were chatting and Emily said “like most men Brandon doesn’t love having his

photo taken” ( I can’t tell you how many times I have heard this. Totally normal). My reply

to this is always to explain my style and how I pose. I want to make sure guys are on board

to pose and do what I ask for engagement photos and the wedding. So I explained how

I shoot and asked Brandon if he’s down for that and he looked at Emily and said “for her, absolutely”

and gave her a little cuddle. Omg…how fricken sweet!

Engagement sessions should feel like the ultimate cuddly date night with a third wheel (ME) ha ha!

And that is how this one felt. I found myself smiling so big editing their session as you could

see that they were really having fun!

 

Some words from Brandon & Emily

How & when did you two meet? What was your first date?
Brandon and I met through some mutual friends in 2014. We played on a softball team
and I wow’d Brandon with my baseball skills (yeah right) but that was the beginning of our story 🙂
One of our first dates I kept Brandon waiting for over an hour and he STILL WAITED for me…
THATS when I knew he was the most patient soul
Do you have all time favorite date you’ve been on?
Brandon will tell you that he loves all the dates he goes on that he gets me to himself
for an hour or two. I have to agree with the man 🙂
If you were coming home from a day out on your own and you wanted to 
surprise your significant other with a treat/drink/gift what would it be?
His answer: Slurpee
Her answer: Blizzard

We have crushed so many but our most recent one was Jack Ryan.
Now for fun a little game like the shoe game at weddings.
If you are not familiar with this game.

But they do this with shoes at weddings.
