“We are looking for a very simple laid back elopement”….YES PLEASE! This is right up my alley!

And this perfectly me elopement got even better when they said it would be just them and their

dog Dexter! Talk about the perfect evening.  Derek & Emily were originally thinking of doing their

elopement in Airdrie or Calgary and on Saturday June 22nd.

But they changed their minds on both of those things after chatting with me. They happily changed

their location to the mountains when I mentioned  that my elopement packages include complimentary

mileage to Kananaskis and Canmore. And then I asked them if they were set on the date. The reason is,

is that just a few weeks out it would be tough to find vendors available for a Saturday in June. They said

they picked Saturday as weddings are usually on Saturdays and their ten year anniversary was the day

before so I said lets do the day before then! So they got married in the mountains on their ten year

anniversay! This elopement just keeps getting better and better!

After the date was set we had to pick a mountain spot. We chatted about the perfect spot and I mentioned this side of

the road private area and they thought it was perfect! Weddings need two witnesses and Dexter couldn’t

be one ha ha so I asked my husband Paul if he would like to come as a second witness

and he was all over it! It was forecasting rain all night so we had umbrellas handy but we

didn’t need them. We had some beautiful soft lighting for their entire evening.
