Taylor & Rachel’s Intimate & Adventurous Mountain Session

Me being a broken record “I get the best clients” but I really do! ha ha!! I am constantly so amazed

and grateful for my wedding couples that hire me to tell their story. They just get me, they get my

posing, they get my vision and they trust me and most importantly they are adventurous like I am.

This winter has been full of mountain sessions for me…why? cause that is where my clients love to be

and if they love to be there then lets shoot there. We are so darn lucky to have these beautiful

mountains just an hour away! So I actually first met these two earlier in the year cause they entered

a giveaway that I did and they won so we did a couples session(before they got engaged). You can see

And then just a short while later Taylor proposed and when they emailed me and asked me to

shoot their wedding I did a big embarrassing happy dance and said YES!!! These two

love the mountains and winter so it was only natural that we did a winter mountain session

for their engagement session. It was so cute, cause their moms actually tagged along and went for a

little hike of their own while we shot. We explored the park and climbed through snow until

our toes were numb and these two loved like no one was watching and were just the most

adorable ever. Here are some words from these two cuties!

What is your guys idea of a perfect day together?

We love anything and everything to do with being in the mountains, so packing up and spending the day

exploring in Kananaskis with our pup Skye is definitely our idea of a perfect day together!

Really anything we can do that involves adventuring together make the best days.

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?

Definitely being able to share this time with our friends & family while getting the celebrate all

the love we have for each other (cheesy I know haha). We really can’t wait to party hard for

the whole weekend too – we both love a good party!

What’s one part or decision about wedding planning that Is easier then you thought and one part that Is harder then you thought?

Picking a venue was way easier than we thought it would be – as soon as we

saw Cherry Creek we knew instantly this was where we want to say our “I do’s”. It had everything

we wanted (mountains, barn, private venue) and every other place we had looked at just

didn’t feel “perfect” to us – when you know, you know haha. Narrowing down a guest

list is wayyyy harder than we ever could have imagined. We just want to invite everyone!

What’s your favorite beverage or food to bring home and surprise your each other with?

Her: Perogies. They are my favorite food and my family makes them from scratch so Tay is forced to love them as much as I do haha.

Him: Anything BBQ’d. Rachel is horrible at BBQing haha but loves bbq’d chicken & potatoes.
