Hope you are ready for some photo spam cause this session is jam packed with mountain

views, a super cute couple and oh so adorable doggos…oh and some smores!!YUMMMM!

Dom is a long time client/friend of mine and when she asked me to photograph their

engagement session I was like YES YES YES!!! We are equally obsessed dog moms and we have

similar stories of how we met our husbands! I met my husband on a bus and Reid & Dom met

on a plane! So fun! Pippin & Took are the real stars though of this session cause dogs are

always steal the show! Especially when they do cute things! You won’t

see Pippin quite as much as Took in this session as he was off exploring! Whereas Took was close

by with his stick waiting for someone to throw it ha ha!

I usually pick locations for my sessions but these two are outdoor mountain enthusiasts so they

picked the spot and they even picked me up as my Kia Sorrento would not have handled these

off road adventures ha ha! It was a bumpy ride to the locations but the views were worth it!

Our first stop was an epic roadside location with all the fall colors and mountain views!

from there we adventured down to a valley where they started a fire and enjoyed some snacks!

We had this spot all to ourselves and there was mountain views all around!

And this session could not have ended better for me or Dom…IT SNOWED!!!!! The look on

her face when it started to snow at their fall engagement session was pure joy!! That is one

more thing we have in common, we both LOVE snow!

Some words from Reid & Domonique

How & when did you two meet? What was your first date?

We met on November 8th, 2016 on a United Airlines flight to Chicago from YYC. We were seated

next to each other and spent the whole flight talking about everything under the sun!

I count this as our first date 🙂

Do you have all time favorite date you’ve been on?

We don’t have one specific date, but when we lived in the city we always loved

heading out to our favourite river valley on public land to have a fire and escape for a few

hours. We would bring snacks, some beers, and just hang out with the dogs while

enjoying the scenery and each others company. This is why we chose to have our engagement session there!

What is your favorite trip or experience you two have done together?

What made it so special?

Immediately after I passed my MSc defence, we loaded up the dogs and the tent and headed

west with a whole lot of snacks and little to no plans. We ended up camping in Yoho National park.

We found a great little hike in campground the second night, after having to find the last available

site in a drive in campground the night before. We stuck it out through some cold, wet nights and ended

up having the most beautiful day walking an alpine ridge that passed glaciers

and meadows, it was wonderful and unplanned. I think it was this trip where we

knew we would be together forever.

If you were coming home from a day out on your own and you wanted to

surprise your significant other with a treat/drink/gift what would it be?

His answer: Fallentimber Meadjito

Her answer: Ice cream

Her answer: Definitely me (although I am succeeding in making him more of a morning

person during this quarantine!)
