I will never not say say yes to an elopement or intimate wedding involving a helicopter

ride to a remote mountain location! And I say that as someone who gets slightly queasy on the ride ha ha.

I just have to leave my phone in my pocket and focus on the landscape and I am ok. It is worth it forsure!

This is the second time that i got to be a part of a heli wedding at Lodge at Panther River. And I hope not

my last (little info my wedding bookings after the photos). These two planned the most laid back day.

The morning with their wedding party and families was so chill. And then we did a first look and

straight to the helicopter! They had a couple choices of locations and picked one with water which

was amazing (very windy as you can see from the photos). After the heli photos they said I do at one

of the most amazing ceremony locations that I have ever shot at. The views are unreal!

Some more quick photos and that was it for me! I was off before dinner & dancing!

Information about wedding bookings

As of spring 2021 I am only now accepting bookings for elopements and intimate weddings.

After 12 years and over 200 weddings, I have decided so shift my focus to

smaller intimate weddings of under 30 people and photography coverage of 3-4 hours and

true elopements just the couple and their witnesses. I can even be a witness myself.

I am taking just a handful of these a year with the focus on mountains and weekdays.

Chilly Fall Engagement Session in Kananaskis

I am not going to lie it was a little dodgey with the weather driving out to this engagement session.

I checked weather ahead of time and it said 20% chance of light rain. Which is nothing. But while

driving to the mountains it was pouring and then I got to the mountains and it was heavy white

out snow. I had arrived early and I was just watching this thick thick snow fall. As soon as I was

parked I checked the weather and it said the snow and rain would stop in 20 minutes so I

crossed all of my fingers that this was right…and it was YAYYYYYY!! It was chilly but for the most

part it was dry! These two were okay waiting in their car for a few minute while the snow let up

and we got started and all the cuddles kept them warm and you would never guess by the images

that it was nearly white out snow conditions just minutes before we started.

These two were my very first 2022 wedding to book and I can not wait for their summer wedding!

Colin & Hailey’s In Home Lifestyle Maternity Session

Can’t get enough of this snuggle in home lifestyle maternity session. Well by in home

I mean in studio ha ha! But it looks in home!! The reason I say in home is strictly for

google search. When you title blog posts you want to title them things that people

might search for. The chances of someone in Calgary googling in studio lifestyle

maternity session are way way WAY smaller then them googling in home….

Colin and Hailey actually won my last giveaway. I had a cancellation in my fully

booked summer so I decided to give back and do a giveaway. The initial giveaway

was for a outdoor session which they won. But after they won, I followed Hailey back

on instagram and I saw she had this super cute photo posted of her bump in the same

outfit she is wearing here. So I asked them if they would be down to do a in studio

session. Having already done an outdoor session with someone else, they jumped

on the idea to do something really different. And this worked out really great as

it turned out we are actually neighbors ha ha!

These two came over for their session and I could not get over how cute Hailey’s

bump was!! It was just perfectly round and photogenic. I just love love this session!

Some words from Miss Lindsay about her session

How did you hear about RBP?

One of my best friends had done two shoots with Monica and had nothing but

amazing things to say about her experience.

Why did you book a boudoir session?

I booked the session just for me! I’m a single mom and I needed something for me that

made me feel beautiful and empowered.

Do you remember what drew you to Monica’s style ?

I had followed Monica on Instagram for over a year before booking. I absolutely loved her posing and studio but

also really appreciated how down to earth and real she was.

How did you feel leading up to the session?

I was nervous and excited at the same time!

How did you feel during the session?

Monica put me at ease the minute I walked through her door. Throughout the session

I felt so comfortable and I had an absolute blast following Monica’s posing direction.

One or two words to describe how you felt when you saw your final images?

Speechless!

Did you have a favorite pose or outfit or part of the studio?

I love the floor poses. But my favourite was perched on the end of the bed with Monica shooting through the open

French doors. I had that one made into a canvas for my room.

What would you say to friends thinking about doing a boudoir session?

If you’re looking for something to make you feel empowered and confident in your body then don’t hesitate.

Golden Hour Kananaskis Engagement Session

So smitten with this Golden Hour Kananaskis Engagement Session. The light

was just so dreamy and warm. We actually origially planned to meet at another

lake location but I arrived early and the water levels were so high plus it was

so crazy busy with people that I made the call to do a last minute change of location.

These two were down for anything so they followed me to the next location.

They brought their two super cute pups for their session too! I always love when couples

include their pups in their engagement photos!

I want to share the sweetest little story from our consult. I met these two at Starbucks and

we were chatting and Emily said “like most men Brandon doesn’t love having his

photo taken” ( I can’t tell you how many times I have heard this. Totally normal). My reply

to this is always to explain my style and how I pose. I want to make sure guys are on board

to pose and do what I ask for engagement photos and the wedding. So I explained how

I shoot and asked Brandon if he’s down for that and he looked at Emily and said “for her, absolutely”

and gave her a little cuddle. Omg…how fricken sweet!

Engagement sessions should feel like the ultimate cuddly date night with a third wheel (ME) ha ha!

And that is how this one felt. I found myself smiling so big editing their session as you could

see that they were really having fun!

Some words from Brandon & Emily

How & when did you two meet? What was your first date?

Brandon and I met through some mutual friends in 2014. We played on a softball team

and I wow’d Brandon with my baseball skills (yeah right) but that was the beginning of our story 🙂

One of our first dates I kept Brandon waiting for over an hour and he STILL WAITED for me…

THATS when I knew he was the most patient soul

Do you have all time favorite date you’ve been on?

Brandon will tell you that he loves all the dates he goes on that he gets me to himself

for an hour or two. I have to agree with the man 🙂

If you were coming home from a day out on your own and you wanted to

surprise your significant other with a treat/drink/gift what would it be?

His answer: Slurpee

Her answer: Blizzard

We have crushed so many but our most recent one was Jack Ryan.

How did you hear about RBP?

RBP photographed my cousins wedding, and I started following on Instagram after!

Then found the boudoir page and was hooked (on both accounts!!!)

Why did you book a boudoir session?

just cause; I wanted to do something for me to feel empowered and bridge the gap

between my body appreciation for what it can do for me physically and then

build a more positive body image!

Do you remember what drew you to Monica’s style ?

personality, studio, editing – love alllll your vibes. you are so easy to work with and get to know,

and I love the colours you work with and the studio!

How did you feel leading up to the session?

since I booked so last minute I didn’t have time to feel nervous ! I was excited to finally be doing

my own shoot after following on Instagram for so long. I was nervous that my

body didn’t look “perfect” or how I wanted it to look

How did you feel during the session?

but all those feelings were gone immediately! I felt so comfortable literally the minute I met

her and then as soon as I showed you my outfits any hesitations or nervousness was gone.

I felt so empowered and beautiful and safe! It was fun- I felt like we got to joke around and

it was a lot of fun, and It was just so comfortable.

How did seeing your final images make you feel?

omg! Seeing the final images was amazing! It was so great to see them and be like what,

that’s me?!? I couldn’t believe it and I felt like an absolute queen! I still look at them probably

2 times a week when I feel down on myself or my body.

If this was for a gift, what did your significant other day about your photos?

did they have a favorite pose or outfit?

it was mostly for me, but my partner loved the ones with the sweater that were

face shots 🙂 he said those seemed most like me!

What would you say to friends thinking about doing a boudoir session?

omg! I have already told soo many friends to do a boudior session ( and to do it with RBP!!!!!).

It was such An amazing experience and I am so glad I finally got the opportunity

to do a shoot with Monica!!!
