I think this is my only wedding in the last 5-6 weddings where it did not rain. It has by far been

the craziest summer of rainy Saturdays. But as much as I love umbrella photos, these two were lucky

to have pretty much nothing by sun on their wedding day.  Justin & Sammi got married at the

Meadow Muse Pavilion in Fish Creep Provincial Park.  They had a intimate ceremony in the tent

and then we did all of their photos around Fish Creek Provincial Park. Man though, this day was hot,

so we took a little break for some shade and some refreshments.  I love when couples cushion their

timeline a little because although I can go straight for 10 hours of shooting, sometimes it is nice

to have time to stop and slow down for the couple and the wedding party to snack and have a drink.

Also, another little tip about your timeline is to leave some time to sneak out at sunset for

some photos.  Most of my weddings are 9 or 10 hours and when couples have a little more

coverage they are not trying to squeeze things in and rush the speeches. Justin & Sammi had a

super relaxed reception, their speeches were beautiful and personal and there was some time

at the end of the formal program to sneak them away just as the sun tucked behind the hills in

Fish Creek Provincial Park.  Here are a few words from the bride & groom.

How did you guys meet ?

In highschool home room  . Dated briefly highschool, broke up right after and reunited one year later in 2010.

Have now been together 6 years. 

I try to always focus on the moments more then the details but I am a sucker for images with shoes and sparkly jewellery. I love when brides buy beautiful robes to get ready in. Please girls buy a cute robe and don’t just wear your shirt or sweater with the biggest neck to take off after hair  & makeup ha ha. Safe to say Justin loved his gift from Sammi. These two kept tearing up while Sammi got into her dress. So sweet. LOOOOOOOVE doing first looks with dad and in this case, dad and some other important people to Sammi . These sisters were the cutest flower girls. And of course kitty cuddles before we head out. How sweet! They kissed him after walking down the isle. Meadow Muse Pavilion did not disappoint. Such a stunning venue. Giggling cause she tripped over her dress on the way out. I think family photos are some of the most important photos that you can capture on the day. And because of this I ask my couples to send me a list of the family photos that they want.
