Just over here doing a little “I am so lucky, I am so lucky” happy dance! I am so beyond

grateful for my amazing clients and that I get to capture so many important moments in

their lives. I adore all my clients but I have to say there is that extra special bond between

my clients and I when I capture them right from engagement through to newborn. Actually with

these two it started even before their engagement session. I first photographed a family

session with them and their two dogs when they were dating. It was the funniest thing at their

session when a flock of birds flew by the instant we took the dogs leashes off to do a portrait.

Their one dog bolted through a muddy field after the birds. It took Travis about 10 minutes

to grab him and make their way back to us. It was a unwelcomed intermission on a cold

November day ha ha. They got married at Spruce Meadows in 2016 and their wedding was

gorgeous (you can see it linked below). This beautiful winter maternity session was shot on a frozen

river back in January. The weather had warmed up so even though the (very shallow) river was still

frozen, it has air pockets in it. So we had to walk carefully cause they would kinda pop and scare us ha ha.

But it made for a great location and knowing the area well I knew it was safe. Their maternity and newborn photos aren’t

the last time I will be photographing them this year cause they are both in one
