Romantic Summer Engagement Session with Epic Mountain Views

Want to know what makes an amazing engagement session even more amazing?

Hanging out with two Aussies who have sweet accents! I am obsessed with accents

and I have been ever since I first left Canada and went abroad in 2005. Growing up

in a small town and then going to University in Saskatoon I just don’t remember

many accents. In fact, my one Uncle has an English accent and when I was a kid I

thought he just talked funny. Which is accurate for children as we have had our own

nieces and nephew (as young kids still) ask my husband why he talks funny ha ha.

These two were here in Canada on work Visas and before they made the permanent move

back home to Australia they booked engagement session in the mountains so they had

something to look back on and some gorgeous photos for their walls back home. I had

photographed their friends mountain engagement session the year before so I came

recommended to them which is always nice. I gave them a few location options and they

picked this one as it has views in every direction and it is off the beaten path.

I had these two answer some fun questions for me

How & when did you two meet? What was your first date? 
​We met at work way back in 2011! We became friends and would often see
each other out on the weekends as we had mutual friends. Eventually, despite my best efforts not
to date a colleague, I caved 😉
We didn’t have an official first date as such but the first time Todd invited me to meet his
parents he ended up in hospital having surgery to remove a salmon bone that was
stuck in his throat. It was quite an eventful meet the parents experience but successful
nonetheless haha.
Do you have all time favorite date you’ve been on? please tell me about it. 
​We went to New York for our six year anniversary in 2018 and he surprised me with
a picnic in Central Park! We sat on the grass for hours talking, laughing, eating, drinking
champagne and people watching. I’d been saying to Todd for years that I wanted to go
for a picnic and he certainly outdid himself.
What is your favorite trip or experience you two have done together? What made it so special?
​We have loved every trip we’ve ever done together! However, our most memorable one was probably
the Cook Islands at the beginning of 2020. We were there with our families and one afternoon
we were walking along the beach and Todd got down on one knee and proposed!
It was so special to have that moment together and then be able to go and celebrate with everyone 🙂
If you were coming home from a day out on your own and you wanted to
surprise your significant other with a treat/drink/gift what would it be?
His answer: ​Wine or baileys
Her answer: Crave cupcakes
